"11 minutes" by Paulo Coelho

I was in a very sad mood for not readin a good book in recent times during the final year of my gradution some 3 years ago. when my friend and a huge reader suggested and gave me this superbly awesome book. I really thank Pooja to introduce to me this wonderful author who is on top 5 most read list of mine :)
Sorry for my initial blabbring the actual thought bout book is....
An international bestseller fiction by the author of The Alchemist tells the story of Maria, a young girl from a Brazilian village, whose first innocent brushes with love leave her heartbroken. At a tender age, she becomes convinced that she will never find true love, instead believing that "Love is a terrible thing that will make you suffer . . ." A chance meeting in Rio takes her to Geneva, where she dreams of finding fame and fortune. Instead, she ends up working as a prostitute.
In Geneva, Maria drifts further and further away from love as she develops a fascination with sex. Eventually, Maria's despairing view of love is put to the test when she meets a handsome young painter. In this odyssey of self-discovery, Maria has to choose between pursuing a path of darkness, sexual pleasure for its own sake, or risking everything to find her own "inner light" and the possibility of sacred sex, sex in the context of love.
In this gripping and daring novel, Paulo Coelho sensitively explores the sacred nature of sex and love and invites us to confront our own prejudices and demons and embrace our own "inner light."
It is a 273 page book yet can be finished in a stroke of read as every rifflin page adds more and more excitement so it was a best experience in the most tedious moment of my life some 3 years back..
though it is a 2003 novel it is a excellent read in all moods and walks of life.
Im a pety creature to talk about the language and excellent plot description of a legendary writer like Mr. Coelho.
This was actually the first book of this author a read but definately not the last one... In months after this book I was almost through 5 other his books each one more and more exciting and heart throbin then the previous.
